Brooklyn Bowl To Host Relix Live Music Conference

On May 10, Brooklyn Bowl in New York City will host the first ever Relix Live Music Conference which is described as “a conference for professionals in the live music industry, designed to shed light on the fast-paced and ever-changing live music business and bring together the leading figures in the industry today.” The one-day event will feature a number of panels and discussions about many of the different facets of the live music industry.
The Relix Live Music Conference will start with a panel on talent buying moderated by Kirk Peterson (Brooklyn Bowl/ The Capitol Theatre/ LOCKN’) and featuring speakers Michael Dorf (City Winery), John Moore (The Bowery Presents), Jim Glancy (The Bowery Presents), Don Strasburg (AEG) and Josh Knight (Monterey International, INC.). Next up will be a panel on publicity moderated by Relix’s Mike Greenhaus and featuring speakers Ken Weinstein (Big Hassle Media), Emma Matthieson (Brooklyn Bowl/ The Capitol Theatre/ LOCKN’), Kevin Calabro (Calabro Music Media & Royal Potato Family), Rebecca Shapiro (Shore Fire Media) and Jonathan Azu (Red Light Management).
A series of presentations will follow as HeadCount’s Andy Bernstein will discuss activism, while Songkick’s Josh Baron will talk about ticketing. The afternoon will include panels on management and technology followed by a keynote conversation featuring impresarios Peter Shapiro and Ron Delsner moderated by David Fricke.
