Broken Wrist Leads To Guests For Ben Gibbard Performance

A few weeks back, Death Cab For Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard revealed that he had broken his wrist badly. The injury didn’t stop Gibbard from performing at the newly-remodeled Swedish American Hall in San Francisco last night for Noise Pop’s opening party. Though the wrist injury prevented Gibbard from playing guitar, he got by with a little help from his friends.

Gibbard performed as part of an acoustic trio that featured Sun Kil Moon’s Mark Kozelek and Death Cab touring keyboardist Zac Rae in San Francisco last night. Ben mostly focused on Death Cab For Cutie tunes with a few solo songs and The Postal Service’s “Such Great Heights” thrown in for good measure.
