Broken Bells issued a new single, “Good Luck.” The song is the second track shared by the project featuring Danger Mouse and The Shins’ James Mercer since 2015.
Broken Bells last year issued “Shelter,” which was their first new music since the single “It’s That Talk Again” came out in 2015. The self-titled debut Broken Bells album was released in 2010. The follow-up, After The Disco, was issued in 2014. Danger Mouse and Mercer confirmed they are working on a third album, which currently does not have a release date. “Good Luck” features additional vocals provided by Alexandra Savior.
Broken Bells collectively shared the following about the new single:
As with “Shelter,” we wanted to release “Good Luck” while it felt timely and reflective of specific discussions between the two of us, questioning the state of things, as we do …
Both of us are constantly working on music at any given time, yet we always drift back to one another as Broken Bells. When it happens naturally, it happens — and right now it’s happened in the form of writing and recording sessions for the third Broken Bells album.
