Perpetual Groove frontman Brock Butler continued a series of solo performances shared on YouTube by covering the Prince classic “I Would Die 4 U.” Butler put his looper to good use to deliver a version of the song unlike any other.

Prince & The Revolution originally released “I Would Die 4 U” on their breakthrough 1984 album Purple Rain. Brock might have only played guitar on the cover, but he provided a full sound by utilizing his looper to lay down rhythm tracks and one with the main melody of the song. The PGroove guitarist/vocalist took a stellar solo towards the end of his take on “I Would Die 4 U.”
