Brittany Howard appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Tuesday. The singer-songwriter and guitarist delivered the title track off her 2024 album, What Now.
What Now arrived on February 9. The new record marked Howard’s first solo effort since releasing her 2019 solo debut LP, Jaime. Brittany co-produced the album with longtime collaborator Shawn Everett at Nashville’s Sound Emporium and historic RCA Studio B.

All of the aforementioned musicians were in Brittany’s band for her Colbert play along with touring guitarist Alex Chakour and backing vocalists Shanay Johnson and Karita Simone Law. Howard’s array of talent from songwriting to guitar and stirring vocals was on full display for her Late Show appearance.
