Brittany Howard Performs NPR ‘Tiny Desk Concert’

Brittany Howard was the latest guest on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert video series. Backed by an eight-piece band, Howard performed four songs from her debut solo album, Jaime.

Howard and her band — consisting of guitarists Alex Chakour and Allen Williams, drummer Nate Smith, Alabama Shakes bassist Zac Cockrell, keyboardists Lloyd Buchanan and Paul Horton as well as vocalists Shanay Johnson and Karita Law — kick off the session with the album’s hit single “Stay High” followed by “Georgia.” Next, the band delivered deeper cuts with “Baby” and “Goat Head” to close out the session.
