Brittany Howard Shares ‘Stay High’ Live Video

Brittany Howard shared an official live video of “Stay High,” the lead single from the Alabama Shakes’ frontwoman’s upcoming solo album, Jaime. Howard was also added to this weekend’s Afropunk Brooklyn lineup.

Howard is backed in the video by her Alabama Shakes band mates, bassist Zac Cockrell and keyboardist Paul Horton, Alabama Shakes’ background vocalists Karita Law, Shanay Johnson and Lloyd Buchanan (who also plays keyboards) as well as drummer Nate Smith and guitarists Alex Chakour and Brad Allen Williams. The live session was directed by Danny Clinch and recorded in Nashville at Sound Emporium Studios on July 30. Howard will perform at Afropunk Brooklyn this Sunday, August 25

ATO Records will release Jaime, Howard’s debut solo album, on September 20. Watch the live performance of “Stay High” below:
