Brian Wilson & Zombies Announce ‘Something Great From ‘68’ Tour

Brian Wilson and The Zombies confirmed a month-long co-headlining tour dubbed “Something Great From ’68.” Wilson will focus on tunes from Beach Boys albums Friends from 1968 and Surf’s Up from 1971, while The Zombies will present a complete performance of 1968’s Odessey & Oracle as well as hits from their Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame career.

Wilson’s band will include former Beach Boys Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin. The Zombies lineup will feature founding members Rod Argent, Colin Blunstone, Chris White and Hugh Grundy. Up first for the tour is a performance at The Joint At Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on August 31. Then, the two acts will play Indio, California on September 1 and Phoenix on September 6 before embarking on a run of dates in California that includes stops in Pala, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, Oakland and Murphys. Brian Wilson and The Zombies then head to Portland, Oregon on September 17; Sandy, Utah on September 19; Denver on September 20; Milwaukee on September 22 and Detroit on September 24. The tour is currently scheduled to conclude at the Beacon Theatre in New York City on September 26. Tickets go on sale this Friday, May 10.
