Brendan Bayliss Sits-In With Widespread Panic

Back on June 21 Widespread Panic played a show in Pittsburgh at StageAE which the last of three consecutive shows with Umphrey’s McGee also on the bill. Several collaborations took place between the two bands in the Iron City and today WSP shared multi-cam footage of UM guitarist Brendan Bayliss sitting-in on a cover of Buffalo Springfield’s “For What It’s Worth” that includes backstage rehearsal scenes.
The night of collaborations began with Widespread Panic guitarist Jimmy Herring, keyboardist JoJo Hermann and drummer Duane Trucks joined UM for a cover of The Who’s “Eminence Front.” Toward the end of Panic’s set guitarist/vocalist John Bell invited Bayliss to the stage for a cover of “For What It’s Worth.” Watch footage of WSP and BB rehearsing the Buffalo Springfield cover as well as the live performance that night filmed and edited by Andy Tennille and mixed by Brett Orrison:
