A Killer Guest Spot: Watch Brandon Flowers Join Ed Sheeran In Las Vegas

Ed Sheeran concluded his 2023 North American Tour at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Saturday. The British singer-songwriter welcomed Brandon Flowers from Vegas’ own The Killers for the band’s “Mr. Brightside” and more.

Sheeran kicked off the concert in a full band format with “Tides” off his 2021 album = followed by “BLOW” off his 2019 No.6 Collaborations Project. Ed also performed favorites “Shivers” (=) in the solo set and “Thinking Out Loud” (x) to close his second full band set — which kicked off with “American Town,” from Ed’s latest LP, Autumn Variations, produced by The National’s Aaron Dessner.

Following a solo “Photograph,” Sheeran returned to the full band format to welcome Flowers. “A person I wanted to bring out, he’s from Vegas, and we’re gonna sing a song that’s essentially like my country’s national anthem. And I hope you enjoy it.”

Brandon then emerged to lead Ed and the band through “Mr. Brightside” off The Killers’ 2004 debut album, Hot Fuss. Flowers and Sheeran swapped verses and also teamed up to sing for the choruses. Flowers stuck around for Sheeran’s “Castle on the Hill.” Watch both performances below:

Sheeran wrapped the concert with a three-song solo encore including hits “You Need Me, I Don’t Need You,” “Shape Of You” and “Bad Habits.” Ed Sheeran returns to the UK for a pair of Royal Albert Hall concerts in November to conclude his 2023.
