Boston Calling Announces 2017 Lineup

The 2017 installment of Boston Calling will be held at its new home of the fields of Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston, Massachusetts over Memorial Day Weekend, May 26 – 28. Organizers of the festival have revealed the lineup for Boston Calling ’17, which was curated by Aaron Dessner of The National.

Metal act Tool, English folk-rockers Mumford & Sons and seven-time 2017 Grammy nominee Chance The Rapper have been tapped to headline the festival. Tool’s performance will mark the band’s first in the Greater Boston area since 2012. Bon Iver, Weezer, Sigur Ros, Run The Jewels, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Brandi Carlile, Mac DeMarco and Hiss Golden Messenger are among the other acts on the bill. Boston Calling’s new home will allow the event to greatly expand as a multi-disciplinary festival. Organizers have enlisted Natalie Portman to curate a film experience that along with comprehensive food, drive and visual art components are an addition to the fest’s 45 act lineup. Moving to our new location has allowed us to expand the programming of the festival to include many more of my favorite artists from different corners of the music world. The addition of the film program curated by Natalie will create a whole other dimension within the festival experience. We can’t wait for May,” said Dessner.
