Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band has been building an army of fans through relentless touring and buzz of their live shows. The Asheville based six-piece dance band exerts an energy that can only be described as infectious and contagious. Using funk as a foundation, the Booty Band weaves elements of hip-hop, reggae, ska, and Latin into the mix, creating a musical identity that is entirely their own. Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band has announced the release of their long awaited live album, Greatest Hips Vol. 2, in stores August 11. The album serves as a strong testament to the band’s claim as one of the hottest live touring acts in the country. For fans already in the know, the album features some of their best known songs as well as some unique covers and some new material. All of the elements of a Booty Band show are in full representation on Greatest Hips Vol. 2, from their anthemic sing-alongs to their tight and thumping dance arrangements and unforgettable horn melodies. This is the evolution of a band that has honed their craft over years of touring and has created a sound entirely their own.
