Bon Iver Shares New Single ‘PDLIF’ Benefiting COVID-19 Relief

Bon Iver shared a new song, “PDILF (Please Don’t Live In Fear).” The band is donating 100% of proceeds from the single to support Direct Relief and its efforts to assist frontline health workers responding to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.

Bon Iver founder Justin Vernon co-produced “PDILF” with Jim-E Stack and BJ Burton. Recorded in isolation, the track was passed between contributors, which included Vernon, Stack (drum programming), vocalists Kacy Hill and Joseph K Rainey Sr., pianist Eli Teplin, bassist Devin Hoffman and Rob Moose providing string arrangements and additional piano.

“PDLIF” originated via a sample of Alabaster dePlume’s “Visit Croatia.” The track features lyrics written by Vernon, dePlume, Hill and Michael Lewis. Stream “PDLIF” below:
