“As always, Bohemian Nights is proud to present a diverse and incredibly talented offering of nationally distinguished musicians to anchor the nighttime shows,” said Merry Hummell, Director of Music Events at Bohemian Foundation. “Headliner artists reinforce the 90+ Colorado band lineup and the Colorado artists support the headliner shows.”
The weekend will kick off on August 10th at 5:00 pm with Fort Collins Friday featuring nine of Fort Collins’ best bands playing across three stages. At 8:30 p.m. on Mountain Avenue, audiences can enjoy the upbeat reggae, rock, soul and eclectic styles of Michael Franti & Spearhead.
Saturday, August 11th at 8:30 p.m. will showcase the country, folk and bluegrass‐influenced music of Alison Krauss & Union Station featuring Jerry Douglas as part of its 2012 “Paper Airplane” tour.
Sunday, August 12th closes the festival with a performance at 5:30 p.m. featuring the smooth sounds of pop-oriented flamenco band Gipsy Kings.
Each headliner will play the Mountain Avenue main stage with the Friday and Saturday night performances simulcast on multiple screens. “We are so excited to have these three, internationally-‐renowned artists anchor the 2012 festival,” said Hummell. “Colorado bands playing Bohemian Nights can boast that they played on a lineup with award-winning artists from their home state and beyond.”
