Bob Weir & Phil Lesh Team Up At Terrapin Crossroads

Terrapin Crossroads hosted a special installment of “Songs To Phil The Air” in its The Backyard outdoor space on Wednesday afternoon. Grateful Dead band mates Phil Lesh and Bob Weir shared the stage along with Grahame Lesh, Scott Law and Jason Crosby at the San Rafael, California venue.
Phil and Bobby’s drummer-less troupe took the stage around 6:30 p.m. and opened with “Playing In The Band.” The quintet showed a little rust as the made their way through the opener and a “The Wheel” that followed. Weir handled most of the lead vocals on the 90-minute set which rolled on with “Feel Like A Stranger,” “Uncle John’s Band” and “Liberty” ahead of Phil Lesh fronting “Mountains Of The Moon.”
The memorable performance came to a close with “Cassidy” and a cover of the Beatles’ “Dear Prudence.” While the next confirmed gig for Phil and Bob will find them joined by The Terrapin Family Band at Lockn’ this August, you never know when another last-minute performance might be announced at Terrapin Crossroads.
