Bob Weir Performs With Phish During Nashville Soundcheck

Tonight Phish takes the stage for the first of two shows at Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville. The band played an unusually long soundcheck and from the sound of things it appears Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir sat-in with the foursome at the end of it.
Weir, who sat-in with Phish for the first and only time back in 2000 at Shoreline Amphitheatre, joined the band for a take on blues standard “Walkin’ Blues.” The song has been a staple of Bobby’s time with the Grateful Dead and post-Jerry bands. Phish has never performed “Walkin’ Blues” in the past. Bob Weir is in town for a performance at The Ryman tomorrow night. We’ll see if he guests with Phish later tonight.
