By Scott Bernstein Jan 11, 2017 • 2:21 pm PST
Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir has been tapped by D’Angelico Guitars to perform at a private show to be held in conjunction with the NAMM tradeshow in Los Angeles later this month. Weir will lead a group featuring former Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum, sacred steel wiz Robert Randolph, legendary Doobie Brothers/Steely Dan guitarist Jeff “Skunk” Baxter and The Rascals’ multi-instrumentalist Gene Cornish at D’Angelico Guitars’ Booth 212AB on Friday, January 20.
This “Bob Weir & Friends” performance comes in celebration of the debut of D’Angelico’s signature Bob Weir model guitar. Bobby’s set is part of D’Angelico’s VIP party, which is held exclusively for dealers, distributors and publications and is invite only. Jazz guitarist Fabrizio Sotti will open for Bob Weir & Friends.
