Last night guitarist Steve Kimock previewed his new K I M O C K project featuring bassist Bobby Vega, drummer John Morgan Kimock and vocalist Leslie Mendelson at Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, California. Grateful Dead guitarist and one of the venue’s owners, Bob Weir, sat-in with his old RatDog co-hort. Weir also announced a show of his own at the venue.
Bobby sat-in with K I M O C K on a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Maggie’s Farm” as per Deadheadland. Kimock was a member of the most recent RatDog lineup which toured in 2014. Last week Weir revealed fans can expect plenty of RatDog in the future as well as more Dead & Company.
On February 12 Weir will headline a benefit concert at Sweetwater along with “A Few Friends.” The performance aims to raise funds for Ring Mountain Day School. Tickets cost $300 and are available via Ticketfly.
