The Revivalists teamed with comedian/performer Bob Saget for a cover of The Who‘s “My Generation” on Sunday at KAABOO Del Mar. The New Orleans-based rockers welcomed the comedian/performer in the middle of their set on the final day of this year’s festival which took place at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in Del Mar, California.
The Who originally released “My Generation” as the title track of their debut studio album in 1965. Sunday marked The Revivalists’ first performance of the song. Frontman David Shaw shared lead vocals with Saget on the cover. Later, the band brought out keyboardist Patrick Glynn of Con Brio for the penultimate song of the night, “Got Love.” For the finale, The Revivalists worked a bit of 2Pac’s “California Love” into their own “Wish I Knew You.”
