Bob Dylan wrapped the spring leg of his Rough & Rowdy Ways World Wide Tour 2021 – 2024 with a concert on Saturday at ACL Live at The Moody Theater in Austin, Texas. Guitarist and Texas native Jimmie Vaughan was a guest of Dylan and his band during much of the tour closing performance.
Dylan briefly introduced Vaughn after the sixth song of the set, “Black Rider.” The guest guitarist replaced guitarist Doug Lancio for much of the rest of the show, playing on “I’ll Be Your Baby Tonight,” “My Own Version Of You,” “Crossing The Rubicon,” “To Be Alone With You,” “Gotta Serve Somebody,” “Mother Of Muses,” “Goodbye Jimmy Reed” and “Every Grain Of Sand,” as well as covers of Jimmy Rogers’ “Walking By Myself” and Johnny Cash’s “Big River.”

Vaughan left the stage and Lancio returned twice during the set, ahead of takes on “Key West (Philosopher Pirate)” and “I’ve Made Up My Mind To Give Myself To You.”
The 82-year-old Dylan will accompany fellow legend Willie Nelson on this summer’s Outlaw Music Festival Tour which will run from June 21 to September 17.
