Blues Traveler Welcomes Con Brio Members For Bob Marley Cover In LA

Jam stalwarts Blues Traveler are currently in the middle of a run of shows featuring support from Con Brio. Members of Con Brio have joined Blues Traveler to end each concert with a cover of Bob Marley’s “Could You Be Loved” including on Tuesday night at the Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles.

Traveler are touring in support of the recently released Hurry Up & Hang Around and have worked material from the LP into their live sets. John Popper & Co.’s set in Los Angeles featured a number of songs from Hurry Up & Hang Around including “Accelerated Nation,” “Ode From The Aspect,” “The Touch She Has” and “When You Fall Down.” Fans were also treated to plenty of classics such as “Run-Around,” “The Mountains Win Again,” “But Anyway” and “Hook” as well as choice covers.

Con Brio vocalist Ziek McCarter and the band’s horn section of Marcus Stephens and Brendan Liu augmented Blues Traveler for the “Could You Be Loved” finale in Los Angeles. Watch fan-shot video captured by Brian James of the Uprising classic:
