Blackberry Smoke Covers Tom Petty & Little Feat With Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real

Blackberry Smoke held a pair of shows last Friday and Saturday at Plaza Theatre in Glasgow, Kentucky with providing opening sets. The headliners capped their performances by welcoming frontman Lukas Nelson and his band mates back to the stage to assist on Little Feat and Tom Petty covers.

The two bands have been touring together over the past few weeks and have a few additional shared bills this week. Friday’s concert saw Blackberry Smoke, who will issue a new studio LP Find A Light on April 6, offer a take on the album’s single “Flesh and Bone.” Saturday’s show also saw a performance of that tune as well as fellow single “Best Seat In The House,” among other songs during their main set.

The encore the first night began with Nelson coming out to sit-in with Blackberry Smoke on “Willin'” by Little Feat. The encore Saturday featured Nelson and POTR joining in on Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers’ “American Girl.” Watch audience-shot footage of the pair of covers below:
