Blackberry Smoke Announces ‘Live From Capricorn Sound Studios’ EP & Shares Allman Brothers Cover

Blackberry Smoke will release the six-song Live From Capricorn Sound Studios EP on June 19. The band shared video featuring their cover of The Allman Brothers Band classic “Midnight Rider” from the set as a preview.
The legendary Capricorn Sound Studios recently re-opened in Macon, Georgia and the occasion was celebrated with an all-star concert that featured Blackberry Smoke frontman Charlie Starr. Thursday marks a fitting day to release “Midnight Rider,” as the original members of The Allman Brothers Band — who famously recorded at Capricorn Sound — performed together for the first time 51 years ago today.
