Heavy metal pioneers Black Sabbath have announced a farewell tour. Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler will head out on The End Tour beginning in January 2016 for a final run of concerts.

The initial The End Tour announcement includes shows in North America and Australia and New Zealand, with more dates expected to be added next month. The End Tour kicks off January 20, 2016 in Omaha, Nebraska at CenturyLink Center and then heads to Chicago and Minneapolis before moving north for four shows across Canada.

Sabbath then heads down the West Coast with stops in Tacoma, San Jose and Los Angeles before moving west to Los Vegas, Denver and Kansas City. A show in Detroit precedes two additional Canadian gigs before wrapping up the first leg at Madison Square Garden in New York City on February 25, 2016. Black Sabbath will then tour Australia and New Zealand throughout the month of April 2016. Ticket information can be found via this link.

Osbourne, Iommi, Butler and drummer Bill Ward founded Black Sabbath in Birmingham, England in 1968. Wildly influential on what would become known as heavy metal, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006.
