After a watershed 2019, Austin-based psychedelic soul act Black Pumas hit the road in Europe. During the tour, frontman Eric Burton and guitarist Adrian Quesada would stop by the German television program Rockpalast to perform an entire set.
Fresh on the heels of a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist, Black Pumas — also consisting of bassist Brendon Bond, keyboardist JaRon Marshall and drummer Stephan Bidwell as well as backing vocalists Lauren Cervantes and Angela Miller — delivered favorites like “Colors,” “Black Moon Rising,” “Oct 33” and “Fire” and more. The band would close out the session with a rendition of the 1968 Otis Redding classic, “(Sittin’ On) The Dock Of The Bay.”
