The Black Crowes Reveal Lineup For Reunion Tour & Announce Intimate Gigs
The Black Crowes will preview a 2020 reunion tour with a pair of intimate gigs in New York City and Los Angeles this week. In addition, the musicians joining Chris Robinson and Rich Robinson on the trek have been revealed.
Chris and Rich will be backed by guitarist Isaiah Mitchell of Earthless and former Tedeschi Trucks Band bassist Tim Lefebvre as well as Once & Future Band members Joel Robinow on keyboards and drummer Raj Ojha during the 46-date trek as per Rolling Stone. None of the musicians accompanying the Robinsons previously were members of The Black Crowes.
The Black Crowes will perform tonight (Monday, November 11) at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City and then will play the Troubadour on November 14. Ticketing details will be announced via @TheBlackCrowes’ Instagram page.
Next year’s tour begins on June 17 in Austin, Texas and is currently slated to conclude at The Forum in Los Angeles on September 19. The Black Crowes will perform their debut album, Shake Your Money Maker, which turns 30 in 2020, in its entirety at each stop along with “all the hits.” Tickets for the tour are on sale now via Ticketmaster.
“I’m thrilled & blessed to be playing with my brother celebrating the music we’ve made & bringing our lives together full circle. Long live Rock n’ Roll & The Black Crowes!” said Chris Robinson in statement. “First and foremost, I’m really happy to have my brother back in my life. To be able to play music again together and celebrate the first record we made as kids, is a gift. To have these songs stand up after 30 years is something I could’ve never fathomed,” added Rich Robinson.
