The Black Crowes Share Memories Of Don Rickles & Richard Lewis And Cover Zeppelin On ‘Howard Stern’

The Black Crowes appeared on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show where they performed, including a Led Zeppelin cover. The band’s Chris Robinson and Rich Robinson also spoke with Stern about late comedians Don Rickles and Richard Lewis among other topics.
“Unbelievably funny, unbelievably quick, but very sweet,” Chris said of insult legend Don Rickles, who Chris also called “the Keith Richards of comedy” after a boozy incident at a Kennedy Center State Department dinner. Rich also had a hilarious story about Rickles and the brothers discussed turning Richard Lewis on to Nick Drake. Watch the Rickles and Lewis segments:

The Black Crowes also delivered three performances including a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Hey, Hey What Can I Do,” especially for Howard, ahead of which they talked about their collaboration with Jimmy Page. Additionally the band offered “Wanting and Waiting” off their new record Happiness Bastards along with a Crowes classic.
