Billy Strings Performs ‘Slow Train’ For Pickathon Curation Series

Billy Strings is featured on the season finale of Pickathon’s Curation Series. The six-episode digital video series showcases the chefs that take part in the festival’s Curation Dinners and artists that play them. The virtuosic guitar player appeared on the episode talking about his career while also performing “Slow Train,” alongside his band.
Billy shared stories about getting his first guitar from his dad when he was four and learning to play bluegrass at an early age. The jamgrass artist also talked about his songwriting process and figuring out how to play for an audience by playing in a metal band. Toward the end of the video, Billy Strings performs the track from his 2016 self-titled EP for diners at the Curation Dinner.
