Billy Strings Joins Newport Folk Festival 2023 Lineup

Billy Strings is on board the Newport Folk Festival 2023 lineup. The guitarist will perform at the legendary festival on Sunday, July 30.

Newport Folk Fest’s rolling lineup so far includes Friday, July 28 performers Caamp and The Beths. Billy’s announcement arrived with news that the Newport Festivals Foundation delivered a grant to the Appalachian Artisan Center’s Culture of Recovery on his behalf. Strings previously performed at the 2019 Newport Folk Festival. He also participated in the pandemic-modified Newport Folk presents “Folk On” event at Fort Adams State Park in 2021.
