Guitarist Billy Strings announced the Streaming Strings Tour 2020 that will take place at several empty venues in Nashville. The nine-show run across Music City will be held throughout July.
Strings will be joined — while maintaining safe social distance — by his band mates, bassist Royal Masat, banjoist Billy Failing and mandolin player Jarrod Walker. The Streaming Streams Tour begins with shows on July 16 and 17 at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville, which recently hosted an empty performance/livestream by Jason Isbell and Amanda Shires.

Strings’ tour of Nashville continues on July 18 and 19 at the Station Inn, followed by shows on July 22 and 23 at City Winery. Another two-night stand takes place on July 24 and 25 at Exit/In. A final show is planned on July 26 at 3rd & Lindsley.
The concerts will livestream via the FANS, nugs.tv, Station Inn TV and TourGigs. Tickets, which are $9.99 for each show, will be available beginning at 12 p.m. ET on Tuesday, June 16. A portion of proceeds from the tour will be donated to ACLU, Backline, and the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund.
