Billy Strings Unveils ‘Live Vol. 1’ Album Tracklist & Sizzling Bonus Tracks

On July 12, Billy Strings will release Live Vol. 1, his first album on Warner Records. The guitarist announced the official tracklist for the live album and shared a pair of bonus tracks.

Live Vol. 1 consists of eight tracks recorded between June of 2023 and March of 2024. The collection features a mix of old tunes (“Dust In A Baggie,” “Turmoil & Tinfoil”), more recent fare (“Heartbeat of America,” “Fire Line”) and one of Strings’ newest songs (“Richard Petty”).

The eight-track set will arrive on CD, vinyl and will be available on all major streaming platforms. Billy Strings originally announced a contest in which fans could win “tickets for life” and other goodies if they guessed the live album’s tracklist. However, a social media post detailing the tracklist confirmed a change in plans. “The internet got a hold of the goods before the thing got started,” Strings’ wrote of the contest. “We pulled the plug. Bummed but we’ll get over it.”

Billy Strings dropped two Live Vol. 1 bonus tracks on his billystrings.live website using a nifty WinAmp player straight out of the 2000s. Fans can stream both “Hellbender” from the St. Augustine Amphitheatre in St. Augustine, Florida on April 22, 2023 and a version of “Highway Hypnosis” recorded live at Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston, Michigan on June 16, 2023.
