Watch Billy Strings Cover ‘Don’t Let Your Deal Go Down’

Guitarist Billy Strings went solo for a cover of “Don’t Let Your Deal Go Down.” Strings filmed his performance and shared the resulting video on his Instagram page.

The first known “Don’t Let Your Deal Go Down” was released in 1925 by Charlie Poole & The North Carolina Ramblers. A wide array of artists have since covered the song including Doc Watson, Flatt & Scruggs, David Bromberg, Yonder Mountain String Band, Bob Dylan and Greensky Bluegrass.

Billy Strings debuted his take on “Don’t Let Your Deal Go Down” at the McCarter Theatre in Princeton, New Jersey on February 16, 2019 as per Phantasy Tour. Strings performed a solo set opening for I’m With Her that night.
