Watch Billy Strings & Brandi Carlile Cover Wings & Queen At Bourbon & Beyond

Billy Strings and Brandi Carlile were both on Friday’s lineup at the Bourbon & Beyond festival at the Kentucky Expo Center in Louisville. Strings joined Carlile during her headlining set and sat in on covers of songs by Wings and Queen.

The recently married Strings, who also swapped sit-ins at Bourbon & Beyond with fiddler Michael Cleveland, emerged with an electric guitar at the end of Carlile’s set. The collaboration kicked off with “Live And Let Die” by Paul McCartney’s band Wings. Playing a Fender Stratocaster, Strings traded licks with Carlile, who was rocking a Gibson.

“Stick around Billy!” Carlile exclaimed as she set down her guitar before segueing into a performance of Queen’s “We Are The Champions.” Strings delivered the arena rock classic’s signature solo to close out Carlile’s set. Watch the collaboration below:
