Watch Billy Joel & Sting Swap Sit-Ins At Raymond James Stadium

Billy Joel and Sting shared the bill on Saturday night at a concert held at Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium. Those in attendance were treated to sit-ins by both musicians during each other’s set.

Sting was scheduled to perform first and was brought to the stage by Joel. Addressing the audience, Joel said:

“Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to Raymond James Stadium. I am here to introduce the following person: I saw this guy when he came with his band to the States, and I was blown away – this was in the late seventies. I thought he was great then, and I think he’s great now. He’s one of my favorite musicians of all time. Please welcome, Sting.”

Sting then asked Joel to stick around to help sing The Police’s classic “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic.” Watch that collaboration below:

Later in the evening during Billy Joel’s set, Sting reemerged donning a silver suit to join in on “Big Man On Mulberry Street,” from Joel’s 1986 album The Bridge. View additional audience-captured video footage of that collaboration here:

Sting and Billy Joel will perform together again on April 13 in San Diego. The pair also have concerts scheduled this year in St. Louis on September 27, in San Antonio on October 25 and in Las Vegas on November 9.
