Billy Joel Appears On ‘Tonight Show’

Last night Billy Joel was the musical guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The renowned performer sat for a panel interview with the host and the two also paired up for a special performance of The Rolling Stones’ “Beast Of Burden” – with Fallon imitating Mick Jagger. The truly special moment came later in the program when Joel returned to play his classic song “Scenes from an Italian Restaurant” on television for the first time.

Joel and his band, along with Fallon and fellow guest J.K. Simmons, launched into an “unrehearsed and spontaneous doo-wop performance” of Joel’s hit “The Longest Time” during the taping of local promotional spots. Joel just added his 31st show as part of his record-breaking residency at Madison Square Garden, its set to take place July 20.
