Bill Frisell, Ben Gibbard, Jenny Lewis & Scott McCaughey Sit-In With Wilco

On Tuesday night Wilco brought their Summer Tour to Marymoor Park in Redmond, Washington just outside Seattle. Jenny Lewis opened the show and she along with Bill Frisell, Ben Gibbard and Scott McCaughey were brought to the stage to sit-in with the band. The collective collaborated on the Billy Bragg & Wilco track “California Stars.”

Wilco opened the show in the same fashion they have since dropping their surprise new album Star Wars by playing the album straight through to begin the set. Toward the tail end of their main set guitarist Bill Frisell emerged to augment “Forget The Flowers.” Frisell stuck around as Lewis, Gibbard and McCaughey came out to help on “California Stars” video of which was captured by YouTube user Kurt Schlosser and is below:
