Watch Big Thief’s Compelling Performance Of Unreleased Song ‘Vampire Empire’ On ‘Colbert’

Big Thief made an appearance as musical guests on Tuesday’s episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The band offered a captivating rendition of their unreleased song, “Vampire Empire,” during their visit to the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City.

Big Thief are touring in support of their brilliant 2022 album, Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You. The band’s trip to New York also includes shows tonight at Brooklyn Steel and tomorrow night when they make their debut at Radio City Music Hall. Both sold-out concerts will feature opening sets by Big Thief guitarist Buck Meek.

Big Thief debuted “Vampire Empire,” which has yet to be recorded in the studio, at a concert in November 2022. The song has regularly appeared in live setlists ever since its premiere. Watch Big Thief perform “Vampire Empire” on The Late Show below:
