Big Something Releases ‘Heavy’ Single

Big Something shared a new single, “Heavy,” set to appear on their upcoming album, Escape, due out later in 2020.

On Escape, The North Carolina-based band — consisting of Nick MacDaniels (vocals, guitar), Casey Cranford (sax, EWI), Jesse Hensley (lead guitar), Ben Vinograd (drums), Doug Marshall (bass), and Josh Kagel (keys, trumpet) — took a different approach to recording than they had done in the past.

“For the first time ever, we went into the studio with a completely blank canvas and developed a brand new album together from scratch,” MacDaniels said in a statement. “Everything was written and recorded in the moment. It was one of the most fun experiences we’ve ever had as a band and I think you can hear that especially on this track.”
