Big Red Machine was the musical guest on Tuesday’s The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. While the project led by Justin Vernon of Bon Iver and The National‘s Aaron Dessner was without Vernon, Fleet Foxes‘ Robin Pecknold and Anaïs Mitchell teamed with the band for two songs from their forthcoming How Long Do You Think It’s Gonna Last? album.
The group performed the single “Phoenix” from the LP for last night’s episode. Aaron, Anaïs, Robin, The Westerlies, Scott Devendorf, JT Bates and Nick Lloyd also premiered “New Auburn” from How Long Do You Think It’s Gonna Last? as a web exclusive.
