Big Head Todd and the Monsters have been releasing a free song and video each month via their Monsters Music Monthly series. For the July installment of the series, the Colorado band has collaborated with John Popper on a cover of Bruce Springsteen‘s “Rosalita (Come Out Tonight).”
Keeping in line with May’s collaboration with Buddy Guy and June’s partnership with Toad the Wet Sprocket, the band similarly tapped a special guest to work through a classic cover this month. For the number off The Boss’s 1973 LP The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle, Blues Traveler frontman John Popper joined the band, switching off lead vocals with BHTM’s Todd Park Mohr. The nearly seven-minute track is also highlighted by a number of energetic harmonica solos from Popper, as well as an explosive guitar solo from Mohr.
