Colorado’s own The String Cheese Incident brought a three-night New Year’s Run to a close at 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado on Saturday night with a little help from their friends. The band was aided by both members of Big Gigantic to kick off last night’s second set.

SCI began the show with a “So Far From Home” > “Best Feeling” > “Mouna Bowa” sequence. The latter saw keyboardist Kyle Hollingsworth head over to percussionist Jason Hann’s area to add shaker. New original “Stop Drop Roll” came next before “Looking Glass” led into a debut cover of The Allman Brothers Band’s “Hot ‘Lanta.” “Close Your Eyes” concluded the first set.

Big Gigantic drummer Jeremy Salken emerged for a “Drums” segment at the start of the second set and stuck around while his band mate Dominic Lalli also contributed to “Rosie.” Next up was “Give Me The Love” followed by “On The Road” complete with “2001” teases. Another newish song, “You’ve Got The World” gave way to the set-closing sequence of “Sweet Spot,” “Restless Wind” > “Desert Dawn.” To start the encore, SCI hinted back to September’s The Doobie Incident by covering “Listen To The Music” for the first time since Lockn’. “Miss Brown’s Teahouse” > “Just One Story” closed out the encore and three-night stand.
