Big Ears Festival Announces 2020 Lineup

Big Ears Festival — taking place in Knoxville, Tennessee March 26 – 29 — has announced the first round of artists for its 2020 outing. Among the performers are Devendra Banhart, Sons of Chipotle featuring Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones and renowned Finnish classical cellist Anssi Karttunen, Thundercat, a recreation of the soundtrack to Andy Warhol’s Kiss led by Kim Gordon and Steve Gunn and many more.

The eclectic festival takes place across downtown Knoxville in some of the city’s landmark theatres, refurbished industrial spaces, art galleries, churches and clubs. Additional performers include Anthony Braxton, Peter Brötzmann, Andrew Cyrille, Joe Henry, Kronos Quartet, Meredith Monk & Bang On A Can All-stars, Jason Moran, Múm, The Necks, Annette Peacock, Marc Ribot, Terry Riley, Caroline Shaw & So Percussion, Damo Suzuki, Network, Tindersticks and more.
