Beyonce Guests With Pearl Jam At Global Citizen Festival

On Saturday night Pearl Jam headlined the 2015 Global Citizen Festival in New York City’s Central Park. The band came on following sets from Coldplay, Ed Sheeran and Beyonce. Pearl Jam’s set was their lone U.S. set of the year and ended with three covers, one of which featured a guest spot from Beyonce.

Pearl Jam’s 12-song performance began with “Mind Your Manners,” one of two songs played in NYC pulled from 2013’s Lightning Bolt LP. Beyond that, Eddie Vedder and Co. stuck with some of the more well-known songs in the band’s repertoire to fill out the set including “Alive,” “Daughter,” “Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town” and “Better Man.” The set came to a close with three covers starting with John Lennon’s “Imagine.” Vedder then brought out Beyonce for a duet on Bob Marley’s “Redemption Song.” For the finale, Pearl Jam was joined by the evening’s other performers, presenters, guests and the Global Citizen team for a rousing rendition of Neil Young’s “Rockin’ In The Free World.”
