Béla Fleck and the Flecktones will reissue an expanded edition of their 2008 holiday album, Jingle All The Way. The updated version arrives on November 21 and includes the bonus track medley of “The First Noel” / “Joy To The World.”
Béla Fleck & The Flecktones previously announced the Jingle All The Way Tour featuring banjo player Béla Fleck, bassist Victor Wooten, percussionist , and piano/harmonica player Howard Levy. The tour will also include special guests, saxophonist and former Flecktone Jeff Coffin, and Tuvan throat singers who contributed to the original holiday album, Alash.
“I have a habit of pulling out my banjo and playing holiday songs while waiting for flights in the airport, when traveling during the season,” Fleck revealed. “These arrangements appeared and developed over the course of several years of airport holiday play. They always seemed to cheer up folks, and I love the tunes. Christmas music is inside everyone’s DNA. Jingle All The Way is an open doorway for listeners to understand the Flecktones’ music.”
The Jingle All The Way Tour launches on November 26 in Nashville at the Ryman Auditorium. The holiday run continues through the Midwest and up the Eastern United States with performances including Cincinnati, Chicago, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Atlanta and elsewhere, before wrapping on December 20 in New Orleans.
Jingle All The Way Tour tickets are on sale now. Stream “The First Noel” / “Joy To The World” from the forthcoming reissue and find ticketing links and full tour details below.
