Bela Fleck & Abigail Washburn Share ‘Let It Go’ Video

Husband-wife banjo pickers Béla Fleck & Abigail Washburn issued their collaborative album Echo In The Valley last year through Rounder Records. The couple has now shared the official video for the album track “Let It Go.”
The 11-track follow-up to Fleck and Washburn’s 2014 self-titled debut was recorded by the duo entirely on seven different banjos, “ranging from a ukulele to an upright bass banjo.” With Echo In The Valley, the couple explores three finger and clawhammer picking styles on the mostly original collection of songs.
Here’s how the pair describes “Let It Go”:
With I don’t wanna cry, cry, cry, oh, “Let it Go” is ultimately about release from the pain of transition, surrendering to growth. The song acknowledges that we must let our children grow up; the concession that youthful innocence will one day give way to adult cares and worries.
Fleck and Washburn’s son Juno appears with them in the video for “Let It Go.” Watch it below:
