Beck, St. Vincent & Dave Grohl Team For Blondie Cover In Los Angeles
On Saturday night the Los Angeles County Museum of Art held its eighth annual Art + Film Gala. The event was headlined by Beck, who was backed by Dave Grohl on drums. The performance also included a guest spot from St. Vincent, as Annie Clark sang lead on a cover of Blondie’s “Rapture.”
According to Billboard, Beck played a mix of originals and classic rock covers during his set this past weekend. The singer-songwriter offered up takes on “Devils Haircut,” “Loser” and “Where It’s At” along with a selection of tunes from The Rolling Stones, Talking Heads, Van Halen and Led Zeppelin. St. Vincent was invited to join the ad-hoc ensemble for a take on the track from Blondie’s 1980 release Autoamerican. Watch a short Instagram video of the collaboration from Saturday night below:
