Beck Plays Rarities At San Francisco Show

Beck performed a concert Wednesday night at San Francisco’s intimate The Independent. The Outside Lands late night show featured Beck presenting a setlist stacked with rarities.
Beck’s current Colors Tour typically sticks to a fairly consistent set of songs, but he and his band completely deviated from the usual during the 500 person capacity show in San Francisco. “Black Tambourine” opened the concert, which was the first sign that the would be different. The first rarity, “Beercan” came next, followed by the fourth “Nicotine & Gravy” of 2018. The sparsely played “Hollywood Freaks” and the first “Hell Yes” and “Modern Guilt” of the year kept the rarities coming.
The setting appropriate “Earthquake Weather” also made its fourth appearance of 2018. Other rare selections included “Soul Of A Man,” “Gamma Ray” and an acoustic “Girl Dreams.” Wednesday’s Outside Lands warm up also saw Beck go acoustic on “Debra” and Prince’s “Raspberry Beret.” View audience-shot video clips from The Independent below:
