Baked Shrimp Announce Pending Indefinite Hiatus

The trio’s indefinite break begins early next year.

announced they will begin an indefinite hiatus early next year. The Long Island, New York-based trio will initiate their open-ended break in February 2024.

Baked Shrimp formed in 2017 and is comprised of guitarist Jared Cowen, bassist Scott Reill and drummer Jager Soss. The announcement stated the band members intend to pursue other musical endeavors.

“Despite this disappointing news, the three of us individually plan to stay active in music and continue to pursue our dreams,” the band’s announcement stated. “We implore you to continue to follow our journeys as we strive to conquer more individual goals and accomplishments.”

The prog-rock power trio has released four studio albums, with a self-titled fifth album set to arrive on January 12, 2024. Currently, Baked Shrimp’s touring itinerary has seven shows scheduled on the East Coast in January 2024. The trio’s final pre-hiatus tour in support of the pending album will conclude with yet-to-be-announced shows in February 2024.
