The Allman Brothers Band, Widespread Panic, Jackson Browne, Robert Randolph, Eric Church, Zac Brown and Vince Gill were just a few of the acts who honored Gregg Allman in Atlanta. Many of the performers were backed by the concert’s house band, which was led by GRAMMY Award-winner Don Was and featured drummer Kenny Aronoff, Rolling Stones keyboardist Chuck Leavell and former Allman Brothers guitarist Jack Pearson.
“Gregg Allman is a true living legend, whose music continues to influence and inspire a new generation of fans and musicians,” said Mark Cuban, AXS TV founder in a press release. “This is an unprecedented event, stacked with incredible performances from a wide range of music icons, and it’s a perfect addition to the top-tier programming AXS TV is known for.”
