Austin City Limits Announces Fall Broadcast Schedule

Long-running public television program Austin City Limits is quickly approaching its 40th anniversary. But before we get to that point, Season 39 starts early next month. Today, producers of the famed show have announced the broadcast schedule for the beginning of Season 39.

Season 39 kicks off on October 5 with a season premiere featuring Juanes and Jesse & Joy. Then, on October 12, French disco-popsters Phoenix make their ACL debut and get the whole episode to themselves. On October 19, The Lumineers and Shovels & Rope make their ACL debut. Indie gets the spotlight on October 26 with an episode featuring Vampire Weekend and Rodney Crowell. Next, on November 2, old ACL favorite Emmylou Harris returns to the show accompanied by Rodney Crowell. The November 9 episode sees performances from Emeli Sande and Michael Kiwanuka before fun. and Dawes share the November 16 episode. Finally, the November 23 episode of ACL will present highlights from the Americana Music Festival.
